For dog trainers using Calendly

Calendly for dog trainers: when it’s enough

Calendly is good at letting people pick a time. If that’s all you need, keep it. Here’s what its free and paid plans do, and what DogDesk does around the booking.

No card needed.
Then £39 a month, one plan, everything in.

When Calendly is enough

  • A free call, and nothing else. If people only book a chat and you sort the rest out by message, Calendly’s free plan does that.

  • One kind of booking. The free plan has one event type. If you offer one thing, that’s all you need.

  • Your own questions. Calendly can ask your questions as people book, so you can hear about the dog first.

Side by side

Calendly’s two cheapest plans, and DogDesk.

Built around the dog

What DogDesk does around the booking, made for dog training.

  • Meet the dog first. Switch on New dogs, and a dog you haven’t met can book only your free call or consultation.

  • A record of every dog. Its sessions, your notes, its homework and its training plan, in one place.

  • Homework after. Your notes and the dog’s homework go to the owner’s phone, and you see the steps they tick off.

  • Your terms, signed. Signed by hand on their phone as they book. You both get a copy by email.

  • Packages and programmes. Bought by card on your booking page.

  • Home visits. Only the postcodes you cover can book.

How a booking works, start to finish

Moving across from Calendly

  • Your page goes where Calendly’s was. Your DogDesk booking page sits in your website the same way, or you share it as a link.

  • Your free call comes too. Make it one of your services, switch on New dogs, and new clients book it first.

  • Your calendar stays in step. Google, Outlook and Apple calendars sync.

  • I’ll set it up for you. Send me your services, prices and hours and I’ll add them.

Questions

  • You can, but you don’t need to: a free call can be one of your DogDesk services, and new dogs can be made to book it first.
